This bag is a treasure trove of 20th-century British postal history. Look for these specific highlights:
• "ARMY OFFICIAL" Overprints: Visible in the top right (dark blue/black stamp) and near the bottom. These were used specifically for military correspondence. "Official" overprints are highly collected and often carry a premium over standard versions.
• 12 MAY 1937 Coronation (1½d): Clearly visible on the left. This stamp commemorates the coronation of King George VI. It is a classic "Royalty" collectible.
• Castles High Value (2/6): On the far left, there is a large grey stamp labeled "Postage 2/6". This is the 1955 "Waterlow" or "De La Rue" Castle definitive. Even in used condition, these larger "High Value" stamps are very popular.
• George VI "Arms" High Values: I can see a couple of large, dark-colored stamps from the 1939–1948 high-value set. These were the largest stamps in circulation at the time.
• Wilding Blocks: On the right, there is a block of four 2d Machin/Wilding stamps. Multiple stamps attached together (blocks) are often worth more to a collector than the same stamps separated.
